Shrewsbury Select Board approves licenses and town meeting schedule. The Board unanimously endorsed a Common Victualler License for Nick's Golden Pizza at 299 Hartford Turnpike, a One Day All Alcohol License for St. Johns Preparatory School's High School Gala on March 28, and renewal of a Class II Garage License for Lovey's Towing & Recovery at 155-173 Hartford Turnpike.

The May 2026 Annual Town Meeting was set for Monday, May 18 at 7:00 PM at Oak Middle School Auditorium. Town Manager Kevin J. Mizikar reported a projected FY2027 municipal budget shortfall of $2.1 million, with the Governor's initial budget indicating $317,000 in increased state aid.
