Shrewsbury Select Board appoints seven to new Master Plan Steering Committee
Select Board · Meeting of July 28, 2026
Shrewsbury Select Board fills Master Plan Steering Committee and orders new three-way stop. The board unanimously approved five regular members — Doug Muzzy, Caroline Macomber, Leah Serafin Maroney, Shannon Wall, and Ken Griswold — and two alternates, Lawrence Ondovic and Kathleen Flynn, to the newly formed committee after tallying individual board member votes to break a five-way tie for four slots. Members Michelle Conlin and Greg Richards were designated as the board's own liaisons to the committee, with Conlin's appointment passing 3 to 1.
Town Manager Kevin Mizikar announced that former Assistant Town Manager Kristen Loss will return as Deputy Town Manager, currently serving as Town Manager in Westford, with no start date yet set. The board also amended its Traffic Rules and Orders to create a three-way stop at Harrington Avenue and Old Mill Road, with MassDOT funding LED signage and implementation expected within 90 days. A public hearing on dedicating the town recreation building to the late Don Shannon is tentatively planned for the board's second August meeting.
