Committee approves $24,000 PyroTechnica fireworks contract

SHREWSBURY — The 300th Anniversary Celebration Committee unanimously approved a $24,000 contract with PyroTechnica for fireworks and music synchronization. Working with Director of Recreation Laurel Rossiter, the committee authorized a $20,000 base bid plus $1,500 cleanup and $2,500 music sync costs. Jim Jolicoeur was named Vice Chair following recent membership changes, and the committee reported raising $175,000 of its $200,000 goal through pledges from Central One Credit Union and Shrewsbury Federal Credit Union ($25,000 each) and the Cadette family through Dunkin ($5,000), with $50,000 in legislative funding available for extension into next fiscal year.
