Shrewsbury 300th Anniversary Committee awards fireworks bid, advances planning. Committee Chair John Lebeaux led approval of prior minutes and confirmation of Pyro Technico as the fireworks contractor with consideration of a drone-show addition. Committee Member Melanie Petrucci is booking performers for the kickoff with Senator Moore confirmed.
Committee Member Gail Aslanian secured Beal School parking for the parade and is coordinating logistics with Parks and Cemetery Commission. Committee Member Moira Miller rejected St. Johns' only available date as too distant, with Committee Member Carolann Mcadam exploring alternatives including Beechwood, Cyprian Keyes, and the Haven.
The committee received $139 from Rotary Club ornament sales and submitted a $609 order for 75 commemorative coins, with Beacon Bank expressing interest in sponsorship.
