Planning Board approves commercial site plan amid mixed-use debate

Shrewsbury Planning Board approves 335 Maple Avenue commercial site plan on split vote. The board voted 3-1 to advance the Lot 1 commercial portion of Spagtacular LLC's mixed-use development, with Chairperson Julie Holstrom dissenting. Board members expressed ongoing concerns about the project's 270 residential units and four-story building scale, continuing the mixed-use hearing to August 6.

The approved commercial site plan includes 26 conditions, including construction management oversight and a five-year traffic monitoring program.
