Shrewsbury High School staged a pre-game community festival called Colonial Way, school officials reported this week.

SHREWSBURY --

HIGH SCHOOL

At the Sept. 23 School Committee meeting, Superintendent Dr. Ostrander praised Shrewsbury High School for hosting Colonial Way, a pre-game community festival featuring local food trucks, interactive displays and student-run games. Ostrander singled out Assistant Principal Brian Laporto, Athletic Director Jay Costa and "the many club advisors and students whose creativity and engagement made this event a real success." Ostrander said he brought his youngest child to the event, who "tried out every booth, and ate some Chick-fil-A," and said the gathering and the game that followed were a highlight for the school community.
