Shrewsbury High School Building Committee Elects Boucher Chair, Sets August Designer Timeline

SHREWSBURY — June 9, 2026 — Shrewsbury's High School Building Committee reorganized Tuesday and set its next meeting for August 26, when the project's new designer may attend. The committee unanimously elected Aaron Boucher as chair and Michelle Conlon as vice chair, then heard an update from owner's project manager PMA Consultants on the Massachusetts School Building Authority designer selection process. Tim Cheney of PMA reported that 32 firms have picked up the Request for Services and that six design firms attended a June 4 site walk, which Cheney called "a very, very good turnout." Designer responses are due July 1, with MSBA selection panel meetings set for July 28 and August 11. A funding vote for the project — expected to be an addition-renovation of the existing high school — is targeted for fall or winter 2027 but has not been formally scheduled. The committee also approved a $249.15 vendor expense for a legal notice and welcomed Dr. Tiffany Ostrander, who will assume the superintendent's seat on the committee when she takes office July 1.
