SHREWSBURY — Regional Opioid Task Force elects Emily Walker as Chair and names new opioid recovery grant. The joint Shrewsbury-West Boylston Task Force unanimously elected Walker as Chair and Mike Long as Vice Chair, and selected PATH (Providing Access, Treatment, and Hope) as the name for a new settlement-funded grant program. The Task Force approved a position description for a Community Advisory Member, with PATH grant applications opening August 21 and awards anticipated in mid-October for a November 1, 2026 start date.
The Shrewsbury Board of Health voted on August 12 to designate the Shrewsbury town website as the central posting location for Task Force materials.
