Shrewsbury Development Corporation backs $350,000 state funding earmark for property work. The Shrewsbury Development Corporation agreed to submit a letter of support for a $350,000 state legislative earmark proposed by Representative Hannah Kane to seed property acquisition and blight reduction in the town. Chair Lee Abdella announced an intention to step down while remaining available for subcommittee service; the board agreed to prioritize officer reorganization at its September 14 meeting.
Director of Planning and Economic Development Christopher McGoldrick reported that the first draft of the 15 Maple redevelopment reuse report is under internal review, with demolition on schedule for fall. The board unanimously appointed Abdella as the official SDC representative to the Master Plan Steering Committee.
