Shrewsbury Adds Funding For Route 20 Intersection Upgrades

Shrewsbury secured extra funding this week to finish design work on safety upgrades at the Route 20 and Centech Boulevard intersection, and the town's Department of Public Works restocked outdoor composters for residents at its Maple Avenue office.

TOWN HALL The Department of Public Works has new outdoor composters in stock, the town's News Flash service announced August 14. Residents can pick one up at the DPW office, 100 Maple Ave, second floor.

COMMUNITY & ARTS Shrewsbury Public Library has a full slate of programming set for the coming week. A Chess Camp with instructor Tim Antonelli meets in Meeting Room A on Monday, August 17, at 6:30 p.m., and a Painted Pencil Pouches craft session follows in the same room on Tuesday, August 18, at 2 p.m.

St Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church, at 1 Industrial Drive, hosts its Mediterranean Festival on Friday, August 21, starting at 5 p.m., bringing food and cultural programming to the parish grounds.
