Retirement Board approves amended 2026 budget; extends legal contract one year
Retirement Board · Meeting of February 26, 2026
Shrewsbury Retirement Board adopts amended 2026 budget and extends legal services contract. The board, chaired by Zhmin Li, voted unanimously to approve the amended Annual Expense Budget after adding omitted longevity and sick leave line items, and extended its one-year legal services contract with Sacco & Collins, with an RFP for legal services to be issued by November 2026. Executive Director Gregory Gatsogiannis reported that 1099Rs issued in late January contained an incorrect EIN due to a PTG software glitch; corrected forms were reissued in early February, and the board demanded an explanation and reimbursement from PTG.
Gatsogiannis announced that an RFP for Actuarial Services has been posted with a March 20 deadline, and the FY 2027 COLA vote is scheduled for March 26.
