Commission advances Access Awards timeline; tables ADA review

Commission on Disabilities · Meeting of March 10, 2026

SHREWSBURY — The Commission on Disabilities refined promotional materials for its annual "Nominate a Business that Breaks Barriers" Access Awards program and moved the submission deadline earlier than June 9 to allow judging time before a July event. The three commissioners present—Deb DelDotto, Amy Desmarais, and Diane Tonelli—will finalize corrected copy for newspapers, social media, and printed materials at the April 14 meeting. The commission also heard updates on the "Listen EVERYWHERE" accessibility initiative, which plans summer staff training, and an upcoming presentation by Jennifer Ritkin of Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services.
