Shrewsbury Zoning Board votes to reconsider solar variance decision. Chair Maribeth Lynch led the board's unanimous approval of a reconsideration motion on the solar array variance at 600 South Street, which previously failed on January 26 under applicant Praveen Kosaraju. Assistant Director of Planning and Economic Development Louise O'Neill stated that Building Inspector Patty Sheehan determined the hearing would need to be re-advertised, moving the reconsidered decision to the March 30 Zoning Board meeting.
The variance seeks to place a solar array 1.4 feet from the principal dwelling, where zoning rules require 10 feet.
