State Health Officials Warn Shrewsbury Shoppers of Recalled Fruit Bars

State health officials are warning Shrewsbury shoppers about a voluntary recall of Outshine Fruit Bars that may contain glass, even as town hall and the public library gear up for a full week of meetings and programs.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is advising consumers and retailers about a voluntary recall of select Outshine Fruit Bars due to concerns the products may contain glass, according to a bulletin posted to the town's News Flash feed Monday. The recalled products were distributed to retailers nationwide and may have been sold in Massachusetts, including Shrewsbury. Residents who purchased the affected bars are urged to check their packaging against the state's notice and avoid eating them.
