SHREWSBURY — May 26, 2026 — Shrewsbury Library Trustees reorganize, approve director's goals, and table a child safety policy revision to June. The board unanimously re-elected Lisa Powers as Chair in absentia and retained April Jones-Prince as Vice Chair and Secretary at its May 26 meeting, completing subcommittee appointments in under five minutes. Library Director Priya reported April figures of more than 25,000 visitors, 30,000 items loaned, and 126 programs with 3,400 attendees. Trustees reviewed a first-ever four-year expenditure plan for the library's roughly $400,000 state aid reserve — grown from $51,000 in 2019 — and directed the Finance Committee to propose a minimum reserve floor at the June meeting.
