Shrewsbury Library Director presents FY 2027 goals to Personnel Committee

Shrewsbury Library Personnel Committee endorses FY 2027 director goals, including AI policy development. Library Director Priya Rathnam will launch strategic planning for fiscal years 2030 through 2035, collaborate with the Shrewsbury Historical Society on America's 250th and the town's 300th anniversaries, and re-evaluate e-resources distribution. Two new positions, a second Reference Librarian and Library Manager of Adult Services, will free the Assistant Director to oversee the strategic plan and coordinate departmental partnerships.
The Personnel Committee endorsed the Director's goals for May 26 presentation to the full Board of Trustees.
