Shrewsbury Housing Trust selects 210 North Quinsigamond Avenue for development study. The Affordable Housing Trust unanimously approved March minutes and agreed to focus parcel analysis on a 2.4-acre vacant lot for potential affordable housing, with Select Board presentation planned after deed research and Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission analysis. The board declined to pursue 31R Cypress Avenue due to development constraints.
The Trust also agreed to launch a $120,000 pilot program with Habitat for Humanity providing up to $20,000 in home repairs per household for four to six residents, targeting those at 30 to 80 percent of area median income, with funding from Trust resources.
