Shrewsbury housing trust evaluates three parcels for development sites

Shrewsbury housing trust advanced its land acquisition strategy Thursday with evaluation of three potential affordable housing development sites. The Trust unanimously approved authorization for Director of Planning Christopher McGoldrick to sign an FY27 regional housing coordinator agreement with CMRPC. Members expressed greatest enthusiasm for a 32-acre parcel at 249 Green Street near the MBTA Grafton commuter rail station, which Assistant Town Planner Kushal Raghuram said could support 10 to 40 units.

The board tabled a decision on home repair funding, including a proposed Habitat for Humanity pilot program, until April.
