Select Board approves licenses, budget discussion underway.

Select Board · Meeting of February 10, 2026

Shrewsbury Select Board unanimously approved four license renewals and authorizations at its February 10 meeting. Members Theresa Flynn, Beth N. Casavant, Carlos A.

Garcia, and Gregory G. Richards (Michelle Conlin absent) greenlit a Change of Hours for Dean Park Grill & Pizza, renewed PMG-Subaru LLC's Class I Garage License, and granted one-day alcohol licenses to St. Mary's Parish Fish Fry and the Shrewsbury Food Truck Festival.

Town Manager Kevin J. Mizikar reported that the January 26 snowstorm, which dropped 19 to 24 inches, exposed critical operational failures including a newly transitioned Highway Director, four vacant plow positions, and contractor shortages when half of 27 contracted operators abandoned the event without authorization; Mizikar characterized the midnight staff release after 36 hours as a critical operational error. The Town will conduct formal after-action meetings to review the response.
