SHREWSBURY — SELCO Commission approves 2026 budgets, rate increases, and property acquisition. The Commission unanimously approved the 2026 Electric Budget projecting $6 million in operating revenue growth and the Cable Budget projecting a $1.2 million net loss by year end. Electric rate increases effective March 1 range from 3.5 percent for residential customers to 35 percent for protective lighting, with new rate classes created including an income-qualified residential rate removing monthly charges for eligible customers.

General Manager Christopher Roy was authorized to purchase 218-220 North Quinsigamond Avenue from David P. Capelle, Sr., for $680,000 to support facility expansion.
