Shrewsbury utility commission approves $776,765 in town payments. The SELCO Commission unanimously backed $502,385 in electric and $274,380 in cable voluntary contributions (PILOT payments) from the municipally-owned utility. General Manager Christopher Roy presented calculations based on 2025 net plant valuations and the town tax rate of $11.06 per thousand, with supplemental funding factored into both amounts.

The payments flow from SELCO's divisions to the town in lieu of property taxes under a negotiated standing agreement.
