Shrewsbury Personnel Board approves revised compensation structure for FY27. The board unanimously approved new non-union classification and compensation recommendations establishing guaranteed 2 percent annual step increases for positions in grades 1 through 4 and a blended step and open range plan for grades 5 through 8. Ms.

Kristina Ordung, Assistant Town Manager - Human Capital, explained the changes address salary competitiveness and incorporate cost of living factors when benchmarking against comparable communities. The board also unanimously approved the FY 26 Salary and Wage Adjustment Transfer, which included retroactive payments to Public Buildings employees from a union agreement. Additionally, the board approved organizational restructuring for FY27 moving from a soft matrix to hierarchical leadership model, with no new positions added to the town.
