SHREWSBURY — Form of Government Study Committee reviews Town Manager Act structure at February meeting. Town Manager Kevin Mizikar and Town Counsel Brian Falk presented sections of Shrewsbury's governing act to the nine-member committee, addressing appointing authority distribution, personnel efficiency, and the town's uncommon provision allowing Select Board appointment of Select Board vacancies. The committee also confirmed that Franklin, Massachusetts Town Manager Jamie Hellen will speak at the February 23 meeting about town council governance models, and scheduled a second meeting for March 16 in the Select Board room at Town Hall with livestreaming capability.
