Form of Government Study Committee organizes departmental working groups
Form of Government Study Committee · Meeting of April 6, 2026
SHREWSBURY — Form of Government Study Committee organizes departmental working groups. Chair Michael Burns directed the nine-member panel into four groups tasked with interviewing department heads on structural governance issues as part of a baseline report on Shrewsbury's current form of government. Groups will examine DPW, Administration and Finance, Human Services, and Community Development.
Assistant to Town Manager Tanner Walling will provide interview guidance and finalize a community survey, to be reviewed in May, that will inform the Committee's outreach strategy. Walling will temporarily step back from assisting the Committee beginning in April due to graduate coursework, with members Bridgid Malee-Rubin and Colleen Corbett volunteering to take minutes until his return in July.
