Form of Government Study Committee · Meeting of September 14, 2026
SHREWSBURY — Form of Government Committee discussed government structures and planning for resident outreach. Chair Michael Burns reported that meetings with all five Select Board members found them generally positive about Shrewsbury's current Representative Town Meeting form, though they suggested minor improvements like increasing Board of Health size. Assistant Tanner Walling summarized 248 survey responses showing a satisfaction gap between municipal staff (over 70 percent) and land use boards (around 40 percent).
The Committee planned a public listening session for September 24 with Town Meeting Members to gather input on the form of government.
