Electric System Survey Set To Begin In Shrewsbury Monday

An electric system survey is set to begin across Shrewsbury neighborhoods on Monday, according to Shrewsbury Patch, and residents are being asked to watch for survey crews working in their area this week as the utility work gets underway.

Shrewsbury Public Library's Children's Program Room has a full slate of summer programming this week, including the R.E.C.E.S.S. Reading Program for elementary grades and the third week of its Summer with STEAM series, both running Monday and Tuesday mornings and early afternoons. The library's Learning Lab is also holding Trained Maker Appointments Monday afternoon, and the Library Foundation's board meets Monday at 4 p.m.

Looking further out, St. Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church at 1 Industrial Drive is hosting a Mediterranean Festival on Friday, Aug. 21, starting at 5 p.m.

The Select Board holds office hours Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Select Board meeting at 7 p.m., both at the municipal building. The Board of Health meets Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 8 a.m., also at the municipal building.
