Shrewsbury CPC backs District #5 Schoolhouse restoration project. The Community Preservation Committee unanimously approved funding for the historic schoolhouse's ADA restoration, designed for completion by the town's 300th anniversary. Architect Anthony Demano of LPA presented the feasibility study, with Kris Gustafson, Vice President of the Shrewsbury Historical Society, describing the project's significance.

Committee questions focused on parking, operational hours, heating, and restroom facilities. The CPC also unanimously recommended three warrant articles to the Select Board: Annual Appropriations, the schoolhouse project, and Maple Ave Recreation Area Field Lighting. Grant decisions are expected by June, with fundraising to support additional costs.
