SHREWSBURY — Council on Aging Board approves prior minutes and reviews mixed financial picture. The five-member board approved minutes from October, November, and January. Director Hollie Lucht reported the General Fund has fully spent office supplies and postage; the Formula Grant covers programming, nutrition, outreach, and transportation at costs including $600-$700 monthly newsletters; and the Revolving Fund holds $3,900, a balance Lucht characterized as low requiring creative funding.
The Small Home Repair program reached its 1,000th completed request this year, helping 130 residences, double the typical annual range of 80-90.
