SHREWSBURY — Council on Aging Board approves emergency refrigerator replacement and clears past invoices. Director Hollie Lucht received authorization to draw additional funds from the General Gift Fund beyond her $500 approval ceiling to replace a failed commercial kitchen refrigerator serving the Meals on Wheels program, and the board separately approved a one-time $1,030.94 withdrawal to cover two outstanding AlphaGraphics invoices from October 2024 and December 2022. The Revolving Fund for van maintenance reached $9,636.44, supported by monthly $833 subsidies from the Shrewsbury Housing Authority, while the Food Pantry Fund surged to $7,477.61 and now implements strict eligibility requirements to serve 155 to 160 registered households, down from nearly 200 at peak enrollment.
