Community Preservation Committee approves District #5 Schoolhouse accessibility project

SHREWSBURY — Community Preservation Committee unanimously approves accessibility work at the historic District #5 Schoolhouse. Chair Debra Mooney led the seven-member committee in approving three project closeouts and recommending two warrant articles for the Maple Ave Recreation Area Field Lighting and the Affordable Housing Trust Rental Assistance Program. Project applicant Kris Gustafson indicated the schoolhouse could open in fall 2027.

The committee scheduled a public hearing on the accessibility project for March 23, 2026.
