Shrewsbury board hears testimony on solid waste and recycling rules. The Board of Health held a public hearing on April 23 on proposed regulations requiring mandatory recycling and permitted waste hauler services, with a vote scheduled for May 20. Solid Waste & Recycling Program Manager Gosia Stolarska presented the regulations, which would require haulers to obtain a single permit covering both services, effective June 1, 2026.

WIN Waste Innovations testified about operational concerns regarding collection times and truck marking. The board voted unanimously to open and close the hearing.
