Board approves state aid, reviews child library access policy

Shrewsbury Library trustees approve $1,500 in state aid for summer reading programs. The Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved the state funding at the March 24 meeting, with the year-to-date financial report showing the library's budget on track. Director Priya Rathnam reported strong February attendance with 2,300 program participants at 115 events and 18,000 library visitors.

The board also continued reviewing a child safety policy requiring grades 5-6 students to have adult supervision during library visits.
